Privacy Policy

When you create an account:

• Your email address
• Your first name
• A password (stored securely by Supabase — we never see it in plain text)
• Whether you opted in to receive our weekly puzzle email

Automatically:

• Basic usage data via Vercel Web Analytics (privacy-first, no cookies, no personal identifiers)
• Usage data via Google Analytics — only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit (see "Cookies" below)

We do NOT collect:

• Payment information (we sell nothing on this site)
• Location data
• Device fingerprints
• Advertising identifiers

• Email address: to send you the account confirmation email, and — if you opted in — the free weekly puzzle newsletter. We use Resend to send transactional emails.
• First name: to personalise emails ("Hi Maurizio").
• Marketing consent: we only send marketing emails if you explicitly checked the opt-in box at signup. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.
• Usage data: to understand which games are popular and improve the site. This data is aggregated and never linked to your identity.

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time

To delete your account, go to your account settings page or email us directly.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

We use a small number of cookies. A strictly necessary cookie remembers your cookie choice itself — it's not used to track you and can't be disabled.

Analytics cookies are optional. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept them:

• If you accept: Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to help us understand which puzzles are popular. This is aggregated, anonymised usage data — never linked to your identity.
• If you decline: no analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive a minimal, cookie-free signal (used only to produce aggregate statistical estimates, never to identify you or your visits individually).

Vercel Web Analytics runs regardless of your choice — it's cookieless by design and never identifies individual visitors.

To change your choice later, clear this site's cookies and site data in your browser settings — the choice banner will reappear on your next visit.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
