Support Watercooler Puzzles

Optional. One-time. No strings attached.

Every puzzle on this site is free to play. There are no ads, no pop-ups, and nothing to buy to keep playing. If you enjoy the site and want to chip in toward what it costs to run, this page is for you — but please don't feel you have to.

What donations pay for

Running the site costs real money every month, even though it's free to use. Donations go toward:

  • Web hosting and bandwidth
  • The domain name renewal
  • The email service the site runs on

That's it. This is not a salary and it's not a business fundraise — it's a way for regular players to help cover the bills so the site can stay free and ad-free.

Donating is completely optional

You get exactly the same site whether you donate or not. Every game stays free, no feature is reserved for people who donate, and nothing here is paywalled. A donation is a thank-you, not a transaction — you are not buying anything and you are not owed anything in return.

Donations are NOT tax-deductible

Watercooler Press is a for-profit publisher, not a registered charity or non-profit organisation. A donation made through this page is not a charitable contribution: it is a voluntary payment to a business, and you receive no goods or services in return.

Because we are not a charity, we cannot issue tax receipts or donation acknowledgement letters, and a donation made here does not qualify for charitable tax relief anywhere we are aware of — that includes Gift Aid in the UK, and charitable deductions in the US, where we are not a tax-exempt organisation. Nothing on this page is tax advice: if your own tax position is unusual, please check with a qualified adviser. If you want a tax-deductible way to give to a good cause, please donate to a registered charity instead.

Other ways to help (all free)

  • Tell a friend who likes puzzles — word of mouth is what keeps a small site going.
  • Read and share the blog.
  • If you buy large-print puzzle books anyway, take a look at ours on Amazon — those are paid links, and we earn a small commission from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
